Since 2007, Dental Hygienists have been practising independently, opening storefront clinics and making high-quality oral healthcare more accessible. Dental Hygienists are primary oral healthcare providers who focus on providing individualized care. They collaborate with patients to prevent oral diseases and maintain optimal oral health, supporting overall health, well-being, and quality of life. You don’t have to quit seeing your dentist to choose your dental hygiene provider; wherever they may practice, dentists and hygienists work together as part of your healthcare team.
Krista Dufour, a Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario since 2012, brings a passion for oral health to her clinical practice. She strongly believes that oral health and overall health are interrelated: ‘I am a promoter of a healthy lifestyle. I believe that the choices we make every day will determine our quality of the rest of the days of our life. I strongly believe that no Canadian should suffer with poor oral health, and that we, as oral health professionals, have a social obligation to advocate and raise awareness of the issues surrounding barriers to accessing preventative oral care and to do what we can to support our communities.’
Krista also operates a mobile practice called GoSmile, servicing our local long term care communities. She also teaches Dental Hygiene at St. Clair College and enjoys introducing modern and innovative treatment modalities to future Registered Dental Hygienists. Come in for your free consultation today – our doors are open, and we’re ready to take good care of your smile!”
